Goa had been for long a place not known for violence but a fun, peace, homely, friendly, jovial community. The morals and ethics taught at home were passed on through generations. Respect for parents, elders, neighbours, religious leaders and religion, teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc was taught at home.

Somewhere down the line with the onslaught of progress we have missed the path to genuine prosperity. Progress is visible in all fields but not chiselled. What cropped up with it were

Konkani in the Roman Script must be incorporated into Goa's Official Language Act; on Par with Devanagiri.See following facts: (1) The Act in the current form is doing more damage to Konkani than Good over the past +20 years. Has the usage of Konkani increased in the local populace, government etc in the last 20 years? (2) The supporters of Current Act (i.e. Devanagiri Konkani only) had +20 years to make this current act work for promotion/growth of Konkani. Clearly they are still not success

Every year we decide what must and mustn't do. The ills that we're facing now can be catastrophic if we don't act now. Hap-harzard constructions without proper planning, irregular distribution of water and electricity, make or break road constructions, dubious allotment of work in all sectors, and so on will go a long way into depleting the resources which our ministers proudly propagate that we are self sufficient.
